SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a 
Heavy Equipment Operator for our current contract located on Camp Taji, Iraq.


• Operate forklifts and related machinery and/or vehicles; on some contracts, may also operate Rough Terrain Container Handlers (RTCHs)
• Operates vehicles with capacity of up to 50 tons
• Analyzes equipment requests to determine most efficient mode of uploading and downloading material
• Coordinates with customers and task orders to schedule movements
• Surveys and plans all loads prior to execution
• Ensures equipment is properly utilized, maintained, and stored
• Ensures load and various awkward and heavy materials are carried efficiently, safely, and according to procedures 
• Completes necessary documentation and reporting
• Conducts routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment 
• Moves  and positions raw materials and finished components with use of material moving 
• Performs  other duties as assigned


• 5 years of experience as a Crane, Forklift or RTCH Operator
• Three (3) to five (5) years of over the road experience in a combination truck
• Must have current credentials for operation of heavy equipment
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to wear Individual Protective Equipment (IPE) such as a ballistic vest and helmet



• Ability to perform duties in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, and rain) and work long hours
• Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
• Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions
