SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a DFAC Warehouse Supervisor / Army Food Management Information Systems (AFMIS) Operator for our current contract located on Camp Taji in Iraq.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES• Performs the receipt and storage of all DLA food shipments, warehouse accountability, PHC approval confirmation and food distribution to the kitchen staff in accordance with AFMIS• Confirms that menus are compatible with the standards, budget and accountability of the current stock levels in accordance with AFMIS• Monitors food service activities and assist with purchases of food and DFAC supplies in accordance with the AFMIS SOP and user’s guide• Provides oversight to ensure the deliveries are downloaded properly, inspected for freshness, performs PHC verification, ensures accountability, inputs data into the AFMIS system concerning receipts, ensures “first in / first out” inventory management procedures are utilized and stores food items in accordance with applicable military regulations• Monitors and controls the food inventory, storage, issue, usage and resupply per AFMIS• Ensures all food service warehouse operations are in compliance with health and safety codes while adhering to the menu plan issues as dictated by AFMIS• Supports and works with US MIL (Veterinary) and Public Health inspections for all food storage areas to include the receipt of food items from the DLA source provider• Recommends cost controls while working within the parameters of AFMIS• Maintains records and prepares the required reports by contract regarding cost, budgeting, quality assurance and food subsides in accordance with the AFMIS SOP and USG regulations• Provides training to a diverse multicultural group on food storage procedures, receiving and storing of food, protective measures and preventative maintenance of warehouse equipment• Reviews all menus with the AFMIS Operators to ensure proper utilization of warehouse food items• Prepares for and participates in SOSI QA/QC, USG QAR/ACO and USG Preventive Medicine visits and inspections and takes corrective actions as directed• Provides information and reports as related to inventory, ordering, and food storage to the DOL and DFAC managers to ensure facilitation of a strong supply chain as dictated by AFMIS and the associated USG regulations• Operates in strict compliance with established health and safety requirements for Public Health Command CENTCOM approved sources and other regulations as applicable• Provides staffing schedules, forecasts,and reports for warehouse personnel• Performs other tasks as assigned by SOSI Management
• Experience working as a Food Service Warehouse Supervisor or an AFMIS Operator in the US Military with 3-5 years of verifiable experience in the food service industry• Experience operating and managing Dining Facilities warehouse operations and storage for facilities serving 3000-5000 meals daily• At least five years of experience overseeing supply chain support to retail food service to include DLA source management• Computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, email, spreadsheets and electronic presentations and AFMIS operation and associated reports• Excellent oral and written communication skills• Prior experience in an overseas contingency environment
WORK ENVIRONMENT• Willingness to live and work under environmental and other conditions that may be uncomfortable at times• Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions• May require periods of non-traditional hours including consecutive nights or weekends when necessary• May require ability to lift/and or move objects or packages of up to 50 lbs.
