JOB DESCRIPTION
SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking an experienced Senior Billing Specialist to join our Billing team at our operational headquarters in Reston, VA.

Essential Job Duties:
• Calculates complex billing charges in accordance with contracted terms within the Deltek accounting system
• Utilizes contract calendar for invoicing activities
• Reviews billing data from various sources to ensure that the amounts and account numbers are accurate
• Investigates the billing suspense items and bills as needed
• Post invoices, expense reports and other miscellaneous accounting entries to the accounting system
• Interprets and explains bills to client and staff as needed
• Updates the collection of report bi-weekly and resolves accounts over 90 days
• Maintains other spreadsheets as per manager’s request
• Monitors for and informs Billing Manager if there are any problems with the labor, expense report, and contract as well as any other issues hindering invoice preparation
• Participates in projects performed by the Billing Department
• Identifies potential problems or areas for improvement and provides solutions
• Assists in DCAA audit
• Performs other duties as assigned by management
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree, degree in a related discipline preferred
• Seven to ten years of prior billing experience
• Prior lead and/or supervisory experience
• Prior experience working in a U.S. Government contracting environment preferred
• Previous experience with Deltek Costpoint required
• Independent, self-starter who can multi-task effectively and work with minimal supervision
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving ability
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
