JOB DESCRIPTION

STG, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a professional and experienced Sr. Technical Program Manager to join its team in support of the United States Postal Service.  The Sr. Technical Program Manager will help lead the security team of a major nationwide organization, with thousands of sites, to continually improve its complex multi-protocol nationwide network.  The ideal candidate for this job will be an experienced information security practitioner, equal parts Subject Matter Expert and Program Manager, who is goal-oriented and strives to exceed expectations

This position is located in Morrisville, North Carolina.

Responsibilities Include

  • Manage / plan work for multiple teams:

  • Drive weekly sprints; define quarterly/annual goals

  • Define and develop metrics to measure key indicators including value, efficiency and effectiveness

  • Track and report on the efforts of up to 20 project teams or technology functions

  • Prepare justifications and business cases for recommendations on cybersecurity initiatives

  • Make recommendations of staffing and quality improvement initiatives

  • Develop and present program status / metrics to senior USPS management

  • Identify roadblocks and propose effective solutions

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years of experience with technical program management, ideally in a cybersecurity field, in a large IT enterprise environment
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering, Engineering, Science or a related field
  • Technical background and experience with boundary and end-point protection services such as Intrusion prevention (network and host based), Firewalls, Anti-virus, email security, and Web application security
  • Experience transitioning projects/services into on-going operational modes
  • Must be eligible to obtain a sensitive clearance Position of Public Trust and may be required to obtain a higher security clearance
  • Exceptional communications, both oral and written

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Desired Skills
  • MBA or Masters Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering, Engineering, Science or a related field
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification
  • One or more of the following certifications: CISSP, CAP, CASP, CISM, GSLC, Security+
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
