** This position is contingent upon award of contract **SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Food and Beverage Manager for a proposal located in Juba, South Sudan.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES• Provides oversight of restaurant and kitchen staff ensuring the safe, clean preparation of nutritional and appealing meals• Oversees food inventory, ordering and storage• Ensures all food service operations are in compliance with health and safety codes while adhering to the menu plan• Develops and implements effective cost controls• Trains and manages kitchen, dining room, and pantry teams• Ensures a safe and sanitary working environment• Assures quality and quantity of food preparation and delivery• Maintain records required by contract regarding cost, budgeting, quality assurance and food subsides• Supervise and train diverse multicultural group on food procedures, receiving and storing of food, protective measures and preventative maintenance on food service equipment
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in managing food services operations with a minimum of three years in the hotel industry• Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience • At least three (3) years of experience overseeing supply chain support to retail food service operations• Experience catering high-level functions• Computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, email, spreadsheets and electronic presentations• Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to make significant presentations to senior staff and/or officials• Associate’s level college degree in a food service related field• Experience in cafeteria style food service management
