SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking an experienced HR Generalist. The HR Generalist is responsible for providing guidance to managers and employees on company policies and practices. They will have extensive experience handling employee relations issues, to include conducting formal investigations, documenting findings, and making recommendations. The role will support any other needs of the department, including maintaining the Human Resources Information Systems, file maintenance, and orientation and training. The ideal candidate will be an energetic and proactive person who is willing to help wherever needed across the HR team.


  • Conducts thorough investigations of employee complaints and disputes. Documents findings and presents recommendations.
  • Operates as a collaborative member of the Human Resources department, performing full life cycle human resources support within the business, through the planning and execution of HR practices and programs.
  • Collaborates with business units to resolve day to day issues.
  • Partners with managers on effectively addressing employee relations issues.
  • Acts as an advocate in the communication of HR initiatives.
  • Acts as primary POC for employees and managers within dedicated business unit and provides excellent customer service with a focus on responsiveness.
  • Coordinating with managers to assure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Track entrance and exit data, and provide feedback and recommendations to HR Business Partners to identify trends or areas that may require training.
  • Proactively identify performance improvements and initiates positive changes in HR practices.
  • Bachelors’ degree in Human Resource Management or comparable experience.
  • Five to seven years’ of experience in a Human Resources Generalist role; OR equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Five or more years' experience in a Federal Government Contracting environment preferred.
  • Substantive knowledge of all HR functional.
  • Ability to operate independently and in a team.
  • Ability to maintain and manage confidential information. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, organization and time management skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of employment laws and best practices. 
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. 
  • Advanced MS Word and Excel skills. 

Work Environment

  • Working conditions as normal for an office environment
  • Requires periods of non-traditional hours including consecutive nights or weekends when necessary
  • May require ability to lift/and or move objects or packages of up to 25 lbs.
