JOB DESCRIPTION
SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Senior Capture Manager to work with our Business Development organization in our Reston, VA office.  

The Senior Capture Manager is responsible for ensuring the capture team, (in total, to include all functional departments, operations participants, and team mates) 1) promotes the sales position developed by the business development executive (BDE) throughout the capture process (the “what wins”), 2) overcomes obstacles that threaten the opportunity, 3) develops a capture plan that effectively transitions the opportunity to the Proposal Manager for final response. Tactical management of mid-sized deal capture efforts (Group Top Opportunities up to 100M total contract value) to secure new or re-compete contracts, or task order business. May lead large-deal capture efforts (greater than 100M+) in the event of surge or ability.  Works with the cognizant BDE on capture strategies including business solutions for pursuit of opportunities; competitive assessments, teaming partners and/or tools and products.  Participates in bid and proposal activities, to include price to win.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Manages the execution of win strategies from Qualification/Solution & Capture thru Post Award for Corporate Top Opportunities, including recompletes. Maximize competitive potential while protecting SOSi. Accountable for winning assigned opportunities.
  • Leads Corporate Gate Reviews (MS 1, 2) for all assigned captures
  • Works with Ops lead on to create a “gap” analysis across the full Statement of Work (SOW), identifies teaming and partners to fill those gaps; responsible for teaming agreements
  • Develops effective Capture Plan with adequate fidelity for transition to Proposal Manager
  • Oversees ongoing capture-related elements of the bid throughout the capture, proposal, and debrief life cycles
  • Plans, manages, and controls cost and schedule expenditures within the tailored and scaled process (responsible for B&P budget)
  • Selects past performance candidates based on past performance recommendation
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • BS or equivalent
  • Five plus years’ experience, or an adequate combination of degree and experience
  • Experience in Business Development, Capture, competitive and/or market research assessments
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a clearance

  • Requires periods of non-traditional hours including consecutive nights or weekends when necessary
