SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking qualified, professional, and experienced TIER III Software Specialist in Arlington, VA to conduct software quality assessment, testing and management activities for the Department of State. The Software Quality Control Specialist will work closely with the customers, agency partners, Management, and Scrum Teams to devise application software, services, interfaces, and database solutions. The work is in the Washington DC Metro area.

The selected individual will collaborate closely with the development and operations teams and customer stakeholders to bring together the full range of technical and business competencies needed to enable successful achievement of customer service deliverables and SLAs, technology transformation, business requirements and other work deliverables which are consistent with organizational goals and objectives. The candidate will work in a collaborative manner with the operations and architecture teams to propose, brainstorm, represent, and implement simple to complex solutions.

Working as a Tier III engineer is an opportunity to learn about all Passport related applications. This role allows for learning, investigating and trouble-shooting of a complicated system architecture. Learning the applications is approached through Remedy ticket resolution. Some tickets has standard workarounds implemented by Tier III while others need investigation into the applications. This positon requires the candidate to walk through code and test scenarios in order to recreate the problem.

  • Experienced in analysis, coding, testing, and debugging of highly specialized business application software, database software, communications software, and/or security software.
  •  Experience: (Minimum) Degree plus 5-7 years of specialized experience.


• 1-3 years of .NET experience.
• Able to navigate Visual Studio
• All code is C#
• SQL Server experience a plus.
• Ability to read/write/execute SQL scripts
• Powershell scripting a plus
• Computer Science degree mandatory
