JOB DESCRIPTION

STG, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of SOS International LLC (SOSi), is seeking a Cyber Security Systems Administrator to support the JBSA NEC (Network Enterprise Center) in Fort Sam Houston, Texas.  The ideal candidate will possess hands on experience with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scanning solutions and techniques as well as having Host Based Security Systems (HBSS) working knowledge.

  • Knowledge of and experience with securing several levels of Windows Servers, Exchange Servers, Windows Desktops systems (XP ,Windows 7, 8, and 10) , and Unix.
  • Knowledge of log collection and analysis techniques.
  • Experience with managing and securing Active Directory user accounts, computer accounts, security groups, distribution groups, Exchange Mail Accounts, and UNIX accounts.
  • Knowledge and experience communicating Cyber Security concepts to technical and non-technical personnel; ability to develop technical documents and produce system design documentation.
  • Knowledge of and experience with securing systems utilizing Windows Software Updates and Antivirus Updates tool such as System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), WUS, HBSS, etc.
  • Knowledge of and experience with securing systems utilizing Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG).
  • Project a positive image and professional manner at all times; ability to work within the confines of a set time schedule.
  • Full Computing Environment (CE) certifications required within 180 days of hire. Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE): Server Infrastructure 2008 required. MCSE: Server Infrastructure 2012 preferred or higher.
  • The required category for this position is a IT-I with a Tier 5 (T5/T5R) favorable fitness determination (formerly known as SSBI/SSBI-PR.).

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Install, configure, secure/troubleshoot SIPRNET and NIPRNET systems in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) regulatory security guidelines, regulation, doctrine, and requirements.
  • Manage the security of all servers and workstations and network devices by performing enterprise-wide internal and external vulnerability testing and scanning to assess the security posture on both the SIPRNET and NIPRNET networks utilizing the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scanning solution.
  • Provide patch management support; maintain the networks’ security posture by implementing and managing the Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) process, complying with Government directives.
  • Monitor, detect, and defend the security of all servers and workstations and network devices utilizing the Host Based Security System (HBSS) modules and security solution.
  • Monitor, add, modify, disable and, delete user access to the network resources in accordance to published guidance and security requirements.
  • Support external third-party vulnerability assessments in accordance with authority directives.
  • Assist in maintaining system evaluations and certifications in accordance to RMF Assessment & Authorization (A&A) process as required.
  • Conduct auditing and scanning in accordance with the approved test plan, to verify that: any computer system re-imaged for use on the site’s network uses the most current approved, standardized image as designated by the government.
  • Review and support all assigned incoming information technology requests (ITR).
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Security Clearance: ACTIVE Secret Clearance; or the ability to obtain one.

  • Education: Minimum HS Diploma or

  • Certifications: An approved DoD 8570 IAT II certification prior to hire. Viable certifications that meet this requirement are Security+ Ce, CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, OR SSCP. Most candidates obtain the Security +Ce certification.
