JOB DESCRIPTION
SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Billing Manager to join our Billing team at our operational headquarters in Reston, VA.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Manages billing staff including balancing workload and reviewing invoices
  • Reviews contracts and calculates complex billing charges in accordance with contracted terms using Deltek Costpoint accounting system. Approves all billing set-up for new contracts or contract changes
  • Develops methods to automate billing processes
  •  Assists with preparing invoices as needed
  •  Assists in the analysis of unbilled accounts receivable and revenue recognition
  • Manages the collections process with the billing staff
  • Prepares weekly billing status reports for Management and Program Managers
  •  Develops standard procedures and policies
  •  Identifies potential problems or areas for improvement and provides solutions
  •  Assists DCAA billing audits
  • Collaborates with other finance staff and departments on special projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting
• Four to seven years prior billing management and accounting experience
• Prior Deltek CostPoint , Cognos and Government contracting experience required
• Ability to multi-task; organize and prioritize multiple on-going projects
• Independent self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Strong analytical and problem solving ability
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Fluency in a foreign language

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Working conditions are normal for an office environment
• Ability to lift and/or move objects or packages of up to 25 lbs
• No travel will be required
