SOSi is seeking a Construction Foreman for our current contract located on Camp Taji, Iraq. 

  • Assists the Construction Manager in ensuring that all assigned in-house construction projects are implemented, scheduled, and completed utilizing safe, structurally sound means and methods
  • Communicates and enforces safety regulations
  • Manages equipment, materials and supplies
  • Reads and interprets construction drawings, site plans and scopes of work
  • Follows all health, safety & environmental requirements
  • Enforces health, safety, & environmental requirements
  • Plans, schedules & communicates work requirements
  • Makes assignments with capabilities of crew members in mind
  • Has oversight of quality control and crew productivity
  • Maintains good working relationship with other crafts
  • Plans effective use of personnel, material, and equipment
  • Responsible for recording daily / weekly crew work hours
  • Ability to motivate crew members and manage people challenges
  • Displays knowledge of craft(s) being supervised
  • Makes good use of resources and takes cost control measures
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or closely related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 7 years of construction experience  
  • Preferred 2 years of experience working in a contingency, project environment 
  • Experience working on projects which are being accomplished under US Federal contracting laws, rules, regulations, procedures, and practices a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and on a team
  • Demonstrable proficiency in MS Office suite (or comparable). 
  • Knowledge of Primavera P6/Suretrak/MS Project, and project management platforms


  • Fluency in a foreign language

  • Willingness to live and work under environmental and other conditions that may be uncomfortable at times
  • Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions
  • Requires periods of non-traditional hours including consecutive nights or weekends when necessary 
  • May require ability to lift/and or move objects or packages of up to 25 lbs.
