SOSI is seeking a System Administrator Level 2 to provide technical SIGINT Mission Management support to The National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) in Chantilly, VA.


  • Provide expert technical recommendations and engineering advice on the development and integration of new and modified capabilities into the mission management/command and control architectures for SIGINT 
  • Development of independent program office cost estimates for future requirements as needed
  • Advise the customer throughout the acquisition life-cycle, to include review of Requests for Change (RFCs), Engineering Change proposals (ECPs), development, testing, transition and operations
  • Collaborate with offices within the customer organization and IC mission partners to facilitate development, technical acquisition and integration efforts 
  • Use Expertise to identify issues and ensure sufficient requirements understanding or proper design considerations are included in technical solutions
  • Present reports and proposals to the customer in a crisp, concise manner
  • Interact with customer on a consistent and professional basis
  • Serve as primary CPOC for a program - leading end-to-end functions:requirements analysis, proposal evaluation, transition planning and cross team coordination etc
  • Travel to customer sites for meetings, briefings and conferences
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g. Information Systems, Systems engineering, Computer Science, Math or Science)
  • 10 years experience or relevant Systems Administrator or related technical experience in lieu of degree
  • Six years relevant experience as a Systems Administrator in programs of similar scope
  • Expertise in SIGINT Mission Management and Command and Control
  • Demonstrated understanding of Systems Engineering and Acquisitions processes


  • Candidate must have a strong technical foundation in SIGINT mission management tools, services and products
  • Candidate must have of Overhead SIGINT Constellation requirements, constellation status, mission planning and mission scheduling
  • Candidate should have strong working knowledge of GEO SIGINT Overhead assets; including space ground interface, modeling and data exchanges
  • Knowledge of site resource management processes and procedures
  • Candidate should be grounded in system engineering functions, and deeply seeded technically in the areas of SIGINT mission management software systems


  • Fluency in a foreign language


  • Normal office working conditions with possible requirement to lift and/or move objects or packages of up to 25 lbs
  • Periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends when necessary
