SOSi is seeking a Driver - Bus / Van for our current contract located on Camp Taji, Iraq. 

  • Safely operate waste collection vehicles on specified routes to run bus routes on Taji 
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient way complying with all relevant policies and procedures
  • Conduct daily safety and maintenance checks; Clean buses as scheduled and required
  • Competently adhere to a scheduled and authorized modified route as required and service each location identified on the service sheet or assigned by the supervisor
  • Assure buses and equipment is safely and securely stored
  • Report malfunctions and repaired requirements to a supervisor
  • Ensure buses are ran on time, on route and on schedule
  • Maintain routing sequence and driver records such us dispatch papers and other safety driving documents
  • Train new drivers on residential routes
  • Often work as a swing driver to cover other driver’s routes when on vacation or sick days
  • Operate vehicle in accordance with safety policies and procedures
  • Performs inspections of vehicle and completes inspection report
  • Follows route assignment as directed and completely removes all waste at customer's locations
  • Notifies Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries or property damage
  • Maintain and update daily service records
  • Accomplish other duties as required or assigned by supervisor
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid home-country Class A/B CDL
  • Able to perform and document pre and post trip inspections
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in driving Bus or van
  • Excellent English communication skills and ability to interact effectively with customers and other personnel
  • Ability to consistently arrive punctually and contribute to positive work atmosphere
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally


  • Fluency in a foreign language
  • HAZMAT endorsement preferred, but not required

  • Willingness to live and work under environmental and other conditions that may be uncomfortable at times
  • Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions
  • Requires periods of non-traditional hours including consecutive nights or weekends when necessary 
  • May require ability to lift/and or move objects or packages of up to 25 lbs.
