The Financial Systems Support Specialist will develop Cognos BI reports, assist in administering Cognos BI, CostPoint, IBM TM1 and Chrome River.  Financial Systems Support Specialist will also assist in routine system maintenance, system upgrades, and new system implementations. This position requires strong finance & accounting knowledge as well as IT skills combined with practical experience and a deep understanding of the CostPoint architecture and government accounting.


  • Maintain and develop Cognos Bi reports utilizing Report Studio. Maintain Cognos users and perform routine Cognos backups
  • Trouble shoot and resolve Revenue, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Labor and Project issues related to system failures or related anomalies
  • Trouble shoot and resolve Revenue, Labor, Cost, Burden or system related IBM TM1 system failures
  • Administer backup and maintain TM1
  • Assist in system maintenance, system upgrades, system improvements and system implementations


  • Three or more years developing Cognos BI Reports, working with Cognos, and experience working government contracts.
  • Ability to multi-task; organize and prioritize multiple on-going projects
  • Independent self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical and problem solving ability
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite


  • Fluency in a foreign language
