STG, an affiliated company of SOS International LLC (SOSi), is seeking a Network Administrator in Washington, DC.  We have an immediate opening for a qualified Firewall Operations candidate to provide technical leadership on major, mission critical assignments. All work is done at the customer’s facility in NW Washington DC. A qualified candidate must hold an active Top-Secret clearance. The candidate we’re looking for is someone who establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives and fully align with customer expectations, someone who directs and controls activities for the client to ensure that technical requirements are met. Interactions involve collaboration and interfacing with senior management. The ideal candidate will have experience proving technical guidance for directing and monitoring information systems operations, and has been a proponent in the design, build, and implementation of network systems.  The candidate has successfully delivered leadership capabilities in network facilities operations and support. The ideal candidate will have performed a variety of systems engineering tasks and activities, and have provided assistance and oversight for information systems operations activities, in areas such as; computer and telecommunications/communications operations, data entry, data control, administration and operations support, operating systems programming, system security policy procedures, and/or web strategy and operations. The candidate will work in a collaborative manner with fellow staff implement and deliver total customer satisfaction.
• Leadership and supervision of personnel who are engaged in the operation and support of network facilities, including all communications equipment on various platforms in large scale or multi-shift operations.
• Perform a variety of systems engineering tasks and activities.
• Monitor and respond to hardware, software, and network problems, individually, and at the team level. 
• Troubleshoots network systems when necessary and makes recommendation and/or improvements to the network.
• Troubleshoots network performance issues.  Analyzes network traffic and provides capacity planning solutions. 
• Monitors and responds to complex technical control facility hardware and software problems. When necessary, interfaces with vendor support to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance. 
• Utilizes software and hardware tools and identifies and diagnoses complex problems and factors affecting network performance.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science, may be substituted with an additional 8 years of relevant and recent experience
• 12+ years’ experience in Information Technology
• 5+ years’ experience in a team leadership role supporting large scale, mission critical network operations
• Expert knowledge of networking concepts and architecture, including security considerations associated with networking hardware, such as, Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Gateways, SSL Encryption/Decryption, PKI, TCP/IP, IPv4 and IPv6, etc.

• Hands on experience with a diverse variety of firewalls and networking devices
• Experience working directly with Government customer (position in on site at the customer facility)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; must be able to prepare solution papers and present solutions to senior management
• Candidate must possess an active U.S. TOP SECRET security clearance 
• Familiarity with DoS environment (data and voice networks, IT security systems, policies and procedures), Foreign Affairs Handbooks (FAHs), Foreign Affairs Manuals (FAMs)
• Experience working within the Federal government technology community
• Experienced with performing root cause analysis, risk identification, and risk mitigation
• Experience with the Remedy ticketing system
• Certifications: CCIE Security, JNCIE Security, Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer, CISSP, ITIL (v3 or v4)
• Fluency in a foreign language
