JOB DESCRIPTION
SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Technician for our current contract located on Camp Taji, Iraq.  

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

•Under general supervision, responsible for ensuring MWR equipment is maintained and functional
•Provides oversight, guidance, and technical expertise related to equipment repair and services
•Calibrates various equipment and implements equipment testing program
•Conducts equipment-acceptance testing per requirements
•Assist with inspection tests or maintenance of equipment
•Maintains specialized testing tools or equipment
•Meeting the standard of quality are reconditioned, repaired and/or retired
•Works in close coordination with the MWR Supervisor to create a continuous flow of information regarding ongoing MWR equipment activities
•Responsible for maintaining and repairing MWR equipment (to include, Bicycles and game tables) throughout the MWR area of operations
•Performs diagnostic examinations and inspections on MWR fitness equipment.
•Ensures preventive maintenance and repair adjustments are made
•Ensures routine scheduled maintenance, checks and services (PMCS) standards are conducted.
•Reports status of equipment on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
•Maintains equipment service and accountability logs and “Maximo” program to ensure compliance with government regulations and property/performance accountability
•Ensures compliance with established Safety Policies and Procedures
•Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

•High School Diploma or equivalent
•Three to six years of experience in repairing and maintaining various fitness, cycling and other recreational equipment 
•Experience preferred in gym equipment repair and maintenance
•Must exhibit strong organization and communication skills. Must be capable of effectively communicating technical information in English, both written and verbal and have a customer service background.
•Completion of maintenance apprenticeship program or mechanical/technical trade school is preferred
•MWR Armed forces experience preferred
•CPR and first aid certification is preferred
•Experience working in an overseas contingency environment
•Ability to wear Individual Protective Equipment (IPE) such as a ballistic vest and helmet

•Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
•Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
•Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions
