SOS International, LLC (SOSi) is seeking an Intrusion Detection/Boundary Protecion Team Operator in Montgomery, AL.


Serve as a Boundary Protection Team Operator for the 26 Network Operations Squadron (26 NOS) at Maxwell Air force Base-Gunter Annex, Alabama. Oversees intrusion detection, intrusion prevention, boundary protection and vulnerability assessment operations to defend the Air Force Network (AFNet).  Identifies unknown or unauthorized sources which attempt to access the AFNet and, when such attempts occur, notifies the appropriate AF agencies.  Monitors, operates, and maintains intrusion detection/prevention systems, firewalls, load balancers, and web proxies to protect AFNet resources from both internal and external threats.  

  • Demonstrates highly technical expertise in boundary protection devices to include intrusion detection/prevention systems, firewalls, web proxies, and load balancers
  • Information Assurance Technical Level I (IAT-II) Certification: Security+
  • Secret Clearance, with ability to obtain a Top Secret       
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline and 2-4 years of experience, or 3-5 years experience and recommended certifications above, ensuring mission success by providing successful network operations support to DoD unclassified/classified networking environments


  • Computer Network Defense (CND) Certification – CND-IS: Systems Security 
  • Certified Practitioner (SSCP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) (CEH preferred)
  • Operating System (OS) Certification – Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA),
  • Blue Coat Certified ProxySG Administrator (BCCPA) and Palo Alto Accredited
  • Configuration Engineer (ACE)
