STG Inc, an affiliated company of SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking qualified, professional, and experienced Network Operations Specialist in Washington, DC.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Individuals require the technical training, skills and experience to operate within and directly support an Information Technology environment.
  • The Technical Staff provides specialized knowledge of complex customer processes and requirements.
  • Applies technical expertise to assist in defining, analyzing, validating and documenting complex operating environments, states of technology and current engineering and business processes.
  • Develop, monitor/supervise, and ensure the implementation of all security systems
  • Develop and maintain long term network operation strategies that will help enhance and achieve long term goals for the Commission
  • Responsible for managing all communications with customers, preparation of required reports, and resolving technical issues
  • Responsible for training employees within the IT Security, and also overseeing their performance contributions
  • Take part in meetings with other experts in the field so as to provide upgrade to different networking programs and systems
  • Carry out the supervision and delivery of projects and modify/refine systems so as to improve output
  • Assist members of the Commission in carrying out their respective duties on an individual basis
  • Responsible for the regular review, maintenance, and upgrade of important components of the Commission’s continuity and/or recovery plan in the case of disaster
  • Ensure that the IT department complies with requirements, regulations, and policies
  • Assist in the allocation (based on priority) necessary resources for the execution of technology-based projects
  • Participate in the IT change management process, to include: contributions to and development of Security Impact Assessments, and completion of A&A and ATO processes
  • Versed/experienced in CISCO networks, applications, and tools
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience qualifications will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Generally, a BS/BA in Business Administration; Computer Science or directly related field (e.g., Information Technology, Information Science, etc)

Clearance:

  • Customer specific Public Trust with ability to obtain a higher clearance level if required.
